Birthday Card for my Son

Hello all my fellow crafters!

Here is a Birthday card I made for my son. He is going to be 29 on April 20th. I can't believe how fast time flies. I remember when he was just a little tyke just like it was yesterday!

Then

Now

And Finally the card...

Recipe:
All cardstock is by Paper Trey Ink:
Black cardstock cut at 11" x 8 1/2" and then folded in half to make a card base of 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.
White cardstock is cut at 5 1/4 x 4"
Red cardstock is cut at 5" x 3 3/4" and then embossed with the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder- Happy Birthday
Red Cardstock is also punched at the bottom using the 3/8" ribbon punch by EK Success. I then wove white ribbon from Papertrey Ink through the punched border.
The Cupcakes are actually outline stickers placed on Be Creative Tape and Crystal Glitter Ritz (this glitter does not come off of the tape- it's wonderful). I then colored in the white glitter with stamp markers (you can even use Crayola markers with this product). I then cut the cupcakes out by free hand and adhered them with dimensional tape.
The stamped sentiment, "Cupcakes and Kisses" is from Hampton Arts and I used Tuxedo Black ink by Momento. I then went over that with a clear glitter pen.
I used a black and white pen for the dots and dashes on the white and black cardstock.
This was my first time using Paper Trey Ink Cardstock and ribbon. I loved both of them. It is very high quality. I highly recommend them. Check them out here:

Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention in Mesa, AZ

I went to the Scrapbook Convention this past weekend with my mom and sister- she flew in from California. We made it a Girl's weekend and decided to stay at the Marriott right next to the Convention center. We had a great time going to classes and the evening crops on Friday (Cricut Circle Crop for me) and Saturday to the general crop. The 3 of us brought so much scrapping stuff and used maybe 1/16th of what we brought- haha! We took 2 Copic Markers classes so now we are hooked on Copic Markers- these are great, but expensive.

I also tried this new product-well new to me- called Be Creative Tape Sheets. It is a double sided tape (Be Creative Tape Sheets) that you cut to size and sprinkle this fine, fine glitter(Crystal Glitter Ritz) on it- then rub it in and apply an Elizabeth Craft Designs sticker to it (outlined in black, silver or gold). You can then color on top of the glitter with markers (not Copics as they bleed). The glitter does not rub off- the look is really nice! I will have another post showing a birthday card I made with these stickers, glitter, tape and markers. You can check these product out here:

Here are a few photos from our weekend.

Our table at the crop- What a mess!

Cricut cartridge storage

Here is a video showing my new cartridge storage solution. It hurt storing the actual cartridge boxes because I love them, but this is a nice alternative. It is neat and easy to get to. Thanks for looking.

A Birthday Card for my Granddaughter's 1st Birthday-Happy Birthday Lola!

I have been really behind on my blog. I had an upper respiratory infection for over 5 weeks and I was not up to doing anything. Hopefully, I am back on track or will try to be back on track.

I am gearing up for the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention in Mesa, AZ, 4/15-4/16. I am so excited and have registered for many classes. I will be going with my mom and my sister, so it will be a "girls" weekend! Can't wait for all of the funs things to see and to buy- haha! Anyways on to the card....

This card was created with the Birthday Bash Cartridge. The card was cut at 5x5 and the images were cut at 3 1/4". The cardstock is all Bazzill Bling and the ribbon is from Michaels. I did a little doodling and stamped a couple of sentiments on it. An Action Wobble was put on the bear and his wagon so there is movement. I love action wobbles- they are so much fun! If you haven't tried them out, you should- check them out
I have really got to start writing everything down.
As you can see in the picture below the cards, Lola really did "Eat Cake"! She had a great time!

Sassy Birthday Card for my 14 year old Niece, Lexi

I know this may be a little "sexy" for a 14 year old, but I thought it was cute and fun and she loved it! I guess that's all that matters! Of course the gift card that was inside helped alot too!

Of course I did not write down measurments...so this is from memory. I promise as of today I will write everything down so I just don't spew out sizes nilly willy!!

The card base is made with Black Bazzill cardstock and cut at 5 1/4x4 1/2" (I think). The patterened paper is from We R Memory Keepers- Girls Nigh Out collection- I think it is super sassy! It is cut at 5". The scalloped oval frames are cut from the Straight From the Nest Cartridge and the paper is the backside of the patterened paper- I used the Frame and shadow on page 66. I belive they were cut at 3" and 2 3/4"?? I did some cute doodling on each frame. The top and bottom are from the Forever Young Cartridge. They were cut at about 2" and I used Bazzill Bling Cardstock. I added some Imaginisce bling with my I-Rock! I love my I-Rock. If you haven't checked it out- you need to- so much fun!!!
I also stamed the Ooh La La Sentiment and went over it with a glitter pen and topped the crown off with a little bling. Thanks for looking!

Valentines Card for my Husband

This is the Valentines Day card I made for my husband. I used the Simply Charmed cartridge for the Love Bugs. I cut the bugs at 3 1/4". The patterned paper is from a current Valentine's Pack from K and Company. I punched it with a Recollections heart border punch. The card stock is all core'dinations, including the glitter hearts. The black polka dot ribbon is from Michaels. I stamped a sentiment on the front and also did a little doodling. I made an envelope with the patterned paper from the K and Company Valentine's pack and also cut the little heart images from Simply Charmed at 2 1/2" each. The "Love Bug" sentiment inside of the card is also from Simply Charmed
Of course I did not write any measurements down, so this is from memory (not too good sometimes).
My husband loved the card!
